“#1314” (previously known as “Sonnets”) – Shakespeare’s collection of sonnets details the spectrum of complex emotions that exist within our earthly existence. In times of soul-searching or retrospection, we often oscillate between action and inaction, as well as between doing and undoing. Yet, no matter how much we try to embellish our speech with the finest, most exquisite words, the primal language of the body remains naked and unconcealed.

QUOTE / REVIEW

“You might be able to imagine in many different ways, but director Ata Wong would always present you with the most surprising answer. Shakespeare’s literature might have been performed numerous times on stage, and the most famous works and themes of his interpreted repeatedly, but the Sonnets would still captivate you in surprise.”

– Momo, Beijing-based drama critic
